Hosted by The Fearless Fools, this special lakeside weekend is chock-full of hilarious performances including a stand-up comedy showcase, a live improv performance (akin to the “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” TV show) from The Fearless Fools and headline performances by Joe Zimmerman, Marcus Oglesby and Bil Lepp!

9:30p – Festival Late Night Stand Up with Marcus Oglesby (Content not suitable for younger guests)


Saturday, April 7th

7:00p – Homegrown Stand-Up Showcase

8:00p – Joe Zimmerman Stand Up (As seen on The Tonight Show and Comedy Central)

9:00p – The Fearless Fools (WV Improv Group)


About Joe Zimmerman

Hailing from Morgantown, West Virginia, Joe Zimmerman comes to the WV Comedy Festival by way of NYC. Since landing in the city in 2012 he has been seen on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Conan on TBS, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Nickelodeon, and his own Comedy Central Half Hour Special.

He recorded his debut album “Smiling at Wolves” in 2014, which reached #2 on the iTunes charts. Buzzfeed has called him a “Comedian you should be paying attention to,” while Paste Magazine featured him as one of “10 Great Comics from the South.”

About “Pretty Little Liars”

West Virginia’s Pretty Little Liars is a family friendly evening of tall-tales and hilarity delivered by the very best mountain state storytellers. Multiple time West Virginia Biggest Liar Champions Jacob Hall and Jamie Froemel join nationally renowned humorist Bil Lepp to create a night of non-stop fiction and fantasy. This segment will be hosted by Ian Nolte. Ian is considered the Susan Lucci of West Virginia Liars, having finished runner-up in the state championships several times.

About Marcus Oglesby

Marcus Oglesby is one of West Virginia’s most beloved storytellers and comedians. A master raconteur, Oglesby spins comedic tales of his experiences growing up biracial in Southern, WV.

About The Fearless Fools

The Fearless Fools are West Virginia’s premier professional comedy troupe. Specializing in a unique blend of short-form and long-form improv, The Fools will take the stage to close out the festival at 9:00p on Saturday, April 7.
